Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm Mama Ogre and I have no idea what I'm doing.

It's the season of Spooks and Halloween, as such Today is part of Blog-A-Ween, Today's blog is on Costumes.

Costumes, they can be used for whatever reason you want them to. Advertisement for a company, a product or even a shop. Costumes can be used for group identification such as Stag and Hen dos and costumes can be used as love of TV shows such as at Comic-cons or even just for Halloween. Today's blog is gonna be talking about the three different ways you can get a costume.

HOMEGROWN

Home grown costumes usually refer to costumes put together at home either by select pieces tied together to make a specific costume or completely hand sewn from scratch. A lot of Cosplayers can be considered to have Home Grown Costumes since they usually make each costume by themselves. A lot of Home grown Costumes can be expensive due to time and cost of fabrics, threads and patterns if used.

STORE BOUGHT

Pretty much what the name says, the costumes are bought from shops in a pack and are usually made of bad quality materials and tend to be only one use costumes which fall apart. This tends to be the easiest and cheapest way to use and have a variety of costumes to hand.

BOOTH BABES AND HIRED GOONS

Hired goons and booth Babes are usually called a such since they are usually hired and dressed up in costumes for a specific event, party, gathering or manning a booth at a public event such as comic-con. These costumes can be extremely well made and rather expensive it depends on the company if the “goon/babe” gets to keep their costume.

I have never really been a “Hired Goon/Booth Babe” but I have done a combination of Store bought and Home grown usually for Comic-con, fancy dress parties and Comic-cons. As such I can understand the chaos of tying to put everything together in both a timely fashion and pricey fashion.

And there you have it, we'll be leaving this here for today. Please be considerate when you leave a comment. Share with others if you want or not. Tomorrow is day 3 of Blog-A-Ween and remember all abuse will be tracked and reported to the appropriate people.

THIS IS THE BANDERSNATCH, I'M MAMA OGRE AND REMEMBER STAY WEIRD, STAY WACKY, STAY WONDEROUS AND I'LL SEE YOU SOON...
