Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on the TV show Criminal Minds.

Criminal minds is an American TV drama show focused on Police procedural crime produced by its creator Jeff Davis. The premise of the show follows a group of criminal profilers who work for the FBI as members of it's Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU), using Behavioural analysis and profiling to investigate crimes and find perpetrators, as well as telling the story of the team as they work various cases and tackling their personal struggles along the way. The show premiered its first season on September 22^nd 2005 with it's fifteenth and final season airing on February 19^th 2020.

The original Main cast consisted of seven characters: Jason Giddeon, Aaron Hotchner, Elle Greenway, Derek Morgan,Spencer Reid, Jennifer Jareau and Penelope Garcia as played by Mandy Patinkin, Thomas Gibson, Lola Glaudini, Shemar Moore, Matthew Grey Gubler, A, J, Cook and Kirsten Vangsness respectively. However throughout the show's run nine additional characters/stars were added to replace the original seven; Emily Prentiss, David Rossi, Ashley Seaver, Alex Blake, Kate Callahan, Tara Lewis, Luke Alvez, Stephan Walker and Matt Simmons as played by Paget Brewster, Joe Mantegna, Rachel Nichols, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodreguez, Damon Gupton and Daniel Henney.

Criminal minds gained much critical acclaim for its use of Characterization, Pacing, Atmosphere and Acting as well as Directing and Writing because of this it became a ratings hit for CBS, regularly featured in its fifteen year run as the network's most-watched cable show. The shows success has created a large media franchise, with three spin-offs and a video game. Criminal minds outlived two of its spin-offs Suspect Behaviour and Beyond Boarders both of which were cancelled before the end of their series due to low ratings.

I love Criminal Minds and have watched fourteen of the fifteen seasons numerous times and as such have high regard for what I've seen. My favourite characters are Penelope Garcia, Derek Morgan, Emily Prentiss and Spencer Reid as played by Kirsten Vangsness, Shemar Moore, Paget Brewster and Matthew Grey Gubler. My favourite season is Season six, due to the serialisation of several storylines including Emily's storyline with Interpol and Irish UnSub Ian Doyle known as Valhalla as played by Timothy V. Murphy. My favourite episodes are S8 E24 “The Replicator” due to its contribution to S8 as a whole and its storyline of a copycat killer with a BAU grudge, S10 E21 “Mr Scratch” for setting up a fantastic storyline of a hypnotist UnSub and character enhancement of Aaron Hotchner and S11 E17 “Mr Sandman”. Overall I recommend Criminal Minds to everyone as great TV and I give Criminal Minds an 8/10.

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour is an American Police Procedural drama starring Forest Whitaker and Janeane Garofalo. The show debuted on February 16^th 2011 as a Criminal Minds spin-off. This editions team also works at the FBI's BAU at Quantico, Virginia. In an April 2010 episode of Criminal Minds fifth season named The Fight shows the meeting of both teams as they find a San Francisco serial killer and served as a backstop pilot for the new team.

Due to low ratings, CBS cancelled the series on May 17^th 2011 airing the final episode eight days later. The complete series of Suspect Behaviour was released as a four disc set, including numerous special features and commentaries on two episodes from cast and crew. I've not seen any of the Suspect Behaviour episodes bar the pilot episode which is of course part of season five of Criminal Minds. As of yet I cannot give an opinion of the episodes or give a rating.

크리미널 마인드 (Criminal Minds Korea)

In 2017 Criminal minds gained an international sub-series when TvN launched the Korean version of Criminal Minds. The episodes are based mainly on season three onwards of its American counterpart. On the cast is Lee Joon-Gi as Kim Hyun-Joon (Derek Morgan equivalent), Moon Chae Won as Ha Sun-Woo (Emily Prentiss equivalent), Son Hyun-joo as Kang Ki-hyung (Aaron Hotchner equivalent), Yoo Sun ans Nana Hwang (Penelope Garcia), Lee Sun-bin as Yoo Min-young

(Jennifer Jareau equivalent) and Go Yoon as Lee Han (equivalent of Spencer Reid). All episodes so far are an hour long.

I have yet to see Criminal Minds Korea, partially due to not understanding Korean and being on a completely different countries TV network.

Criminal Minds: Beyond Boarders.

Criminal Minds: Beyond Boarders is an American Police Procedural TV series created by Erica Messer. Beyond Boarders follows an elite team of FBI agents of the fictional International Response Team (IRT) tasked with solving cases involving American citizens on international Soil.

Beyond Boarders aired on CBS from March 16^th 2016 to May 17^th 2017 and its pilot was a backdoor episode of Criminal Minds also called Beyond Boarders which aired on April 8^th 2015, Beyond Boarders went onto air right after criminal minds on its premier episode. May 14^th 2017 was the day CBS decided to cancel the series after two seasons due to low ratings. I've seen a few episodes of Beyond Boarders but its not enough to give a full opinion about it nor rate it.
