Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm Mama Ogre and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on the 2001 movie The Others.

Released on August 2nd 2001 by Warner Sogefilms, The Others is a movie about a mother Grace Stewart who is attempting to raise her two children Anne and Nicholas who have the rare disease of Photosensitivity in a remote house in jersey in the aftermath of WW2. Hiring three new servants when the others disappeared pone day, Grace starts experiencing several strange things, which are corroborated by Anne who points out a drawings she's done of the people she's seen. By the end of the movie after worrying the house is haunted Grace finds out she and her children along with the three servants are actually dead, Grace is reminded of the day she killed both herself and her children via the seance “The Others” are having. This séance scares the others away but gives the children the relief they can now move around the house without getting hurt. Whilst the oldest servant Mrs. Mills tells Grace there will be others and they must learn to adapt, Grace states the house is theres and their not moving.

The others is a good ghost/horror movie with a brilliant twist ending, I have two favourite parts the first being the book of the dead and the explanation Mrs. Mills gives behind its construction and the ending where Grace tells her children what happened and how relieved she was when they became ghosts stating “God has given us a second chance” I highly recommend the movie to all of those who love scary movies I give it a 9/10.
