Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm Mama Ogre and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on magicians Penn and Teller.

Penn and Teller are a comedic magical act who have performed together since the late 1970s after being introduced to each other by Wier Chrisemer. The trio performed together for a while as The Asparagus Valley Cultural Society but but the group disbanded in 1981 due to Chrisemer leaving show business. By 1985 Penn and Teller were receiving positive reviews for their off Broadway show and PBS special which won awards. Through the late 80's and early 90's the duo made numerous TV show appearances including Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Saturday night live.

The Duo have stated that despite working well as business partners they don't often see each other outside of work this is partly due to not having much in common outside of the few interests they share partially due to drastically different lifestyles they lead. The pair agree that their friendship and partnership works due to this and a strong respect for each other, and occasional disagreements have often led to better artistic decisions and new ideas.

Penn Fraser Jillette was born on March 5th 1955 in Greenfield, Massachusetts and is not only part of the comedic magical act Penn and Teller, but is also an actor musician inventor TV presentor and author. Jillette has produced 8 books including New York Times bestseller, God, No!: signs you may already be an atheist and other magical tales. He is also known for is advocacy of atheism, scientific scepticism, the first amendment as well as supporting free market capitalism and previously identified as a libertarian.

Teller was born Raymond Joseph Teller on February 14th 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Teller is not only half of the comedic magical act Penn and Teller but he's also an illusionist, writer, actor painter and Film director. Just like Penn Teller is part of the Cato Institute. Teller legally changed his name from Raymond Joseph Teller to just Teller.

I love Penn and Teller mainly for their comedic magical acts and especially Penn and Tellers Fool Us, Jillette on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Teller on The Big Bang Theory. I am unable to rate Penn and Teller due to the pair being over a ratable figure.
