Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm The Bandersnatch and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Christopher Titus's special Love is

Evol.

Brutal, hilarious and audacious” - TIME

On a stage decorated like the inside of a house with skulls and hearts motif, Titus comfortably wanders as he tells his tales with a bubbly, almost disbelieving tone that betrays how darkly funny the things he says are. As you can tell from the title “Love is Evol,” this special is about the dark side of romance, which Titus distils through his own personal experience, beginning with his divorce in 2006. In true Titus style, this story involves apparent mental illness, plastic surgery and at least one knife attack. When he uses an on-stage kitchen table to replicate the discussion with his father telling the story behind his conception, you realise just how twisted and talented Titus is. The story is all over the map, alternating between hilarious and horrifying, but the most impressive part is how it shows just how good Titus is at stage Performance, switching back and forth from Dad to Son. When he goes into his bit about having an “Inner Retard” and portrays it onstage, or shows how he wanted his wife to leave divorce court, we defy you to not to at least smile. He's performing, not just telling jokes.

Love is Evol is one of my favourate Titus specials, like one of my top three alongside the new special carrying monsters and voices in my head. I think its because it deals with love and divorce which is a very common in real life in a very comedic way as such I give the show a 9/10 and highly recommend to to Titus fans and comedy fans in general.

Born in 1964 to a dysfunctional family Christopher Todd Titus grew up mostly in California and is an American Comedian, Podcaster and Actor. Titus had a show in the early 2000's called Titus which revolved around his first special called Norman Rockwell is bleeding and the exploits of his dysfunctional family and shocking life experiences.

Christopher Titus has a new show out called Carrying Monsters with the alt title of stories I shouldn't tell you can buy through the combustion lounge alongside all of his other specials and the Titus 20th special, link to the website in the bibliography down below. Christopher Titus also has a weekly podcast that comes out on Fridays on his Youtube channel link also down below.
