As you should know Tuesdays is book blog day were we talk about one particular book and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Harry Potter fanfiction stories; Royal Ward by Catstaff, Call me Moriarty by Professor Scrounge and The Lady of Slytherin Dark Beginnings by Nemesis13.

Based on “Hatal Fart Attack” by Corwalch, Royal Ward follows the changes in Harry's life after he gains the personal attention of the Queen. My Thanks to Corwalch for permission to write a sequel. Reading “Hatal Fart attack” first is recommended, but not absolutely required. Please note this story begins in 1989, shortly before Harry turns 9.

I quite like this story because it shows how much life could be different for Harry without certain characters and other characters being in different positions and having different thought processes. The original story that inspired this was also pretty good and obviously set forth a storyline that could go anywhere. I recommend this story to All Harry Potter lovers and give the story an 8/10.

Author Catstaff has been with Fanfiction.net since May 11^th 2006 and has written 10 stories for Valdemar universe, Dead Poets Society, Earth's Children, Harry Potter, and Phantom of the Opera.

Jasmine Potter came out of her abusive childhood changes, showing sociopathic tendencies. When laying eyes upon the Wizarding world she sees opportunity, and takes up the mantle of her favourite villain. The balance shifts as the chessboard is shaken up by a new player. But what of her foil, Miss Granger?, AU, OOC, F/F, HarryxHermione. Won't be finished. Plot outline given in Ch.20.

I love this story, purely because it takes the main character down an avenue that makes sense with her history of childhood abuse that's not obvious at first glance and can only be known/guessed in hindsight. Its a slight shame its not a finished story or goes past a certain chapter, I recommend this story to all who love fanfiction and give the story an 8/10.

Author Professor Scrounge has been part of Fanfiction.net on August 6^th 2015 and has written 17 stories for Star Wars, Elder Scroll series, Fantastic Four, Star Wars, Fairy Tales, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, Pacific Rim, Marvel, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Xenoblade Chronicles, Matilda, and Avengers.

The Lady of Slytherin Dark beginnings

Lillith Potter, The-Girl-Who-Lived, appears before Severus Snape bleeding and broken at the age of six. Determined to protect his dead friends daughter from sharing her mothers fate he raises her to be brutally pragmatic, viciously opportunistic, and violently protective of those she loves with the help of the black sisters. Dad!Snape, Mentor!Bellatrix, DarkFem!Harry, Third Year.

Now this is a fanfiction I really, really love and have reread several times. Its one of those stories that can be considered a fantastic alternative history/storyline to the main fiction its based on. I love the characters and the familial dynamics that have been written in this story that give the story much more that is expected, as such I give the story a 9/10 and recommend it to all fanfic lovers.
