  • The Beloved/The Uncrowned Queens Goodreads page

The Beloved/The Uncrowned Queen was published on June 6th 2006 by Atira books and has been published under two titles The Beloved (of which my copy is named) and The uncrowned Queen. I went after this book after buying and reading the previous two books in the series. This book is theperfect ending to the story of Anne and ties up many loose ends created by the previous works. I give this story an 8/10.

Born to a novelist named Eleanor and an RAF Pilot in Nottingham, England, Graeme Evens spent her childhood travelling around accompanying her parents to Egypt during the Suez Crisis and to Cyprus during the Turkish-Greek Cypriot conflicts in the process. She also bounced around several schools including The Fahan School in Hobart, Tasmania and the Wilderness school in Adelaide south Australia, where she topped the state in Ancient History. Graeme-Evans went onto marry her first husband Tim Jacobs in 1971 and a year later in 1972 whilst studying at Flinders University had her first daughter.

At 25 Graeme-Evens got her first job with a New Zealand TV props department, eventually climbing the ladder as an assistant editor then editor with the Tasmanian Film Corporation, her credits include sound and picture assistant editor for “Fatty and George” and “Manganine” as well as various documentaries. During the '80's Graeme-Evens would end up being on the production teams of various successful TV shows, In 1990 Graeme-Evens married her second husband Andrew Blaxland (What a surname!!!) later on co-founding the production company Millennium Pictures. In November 2005 Graeme-Evens resigned from Nine to take up a multi-book deal with Simon and Schuster resulting in the publishing of six books since then.
