Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm The Bandersnatch and I have no idea what I'm doing.

As you should know Tuesdays is book blog day were we talk about one particular book and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Star Wars: The Queens Peril by E. K. Johnston,

When fourteen-year-old Padmé Naberrie wins the election for Queen of Naboo, she adopts the name Amidala and leaves her family to rule from the royal palace. To keep her safe and secure, she'll need a group of skilled handmaidens who can be her assistants, confidantes, defenders, and decoys. Each girl is selected for her particular talents, but it is up to Padmé to unite them as a group. When Naboo is invaded by the forces of the Trade Federation, Queen Amidala and her handmaidens will face the greatest test—of themselves and of each other.

  • The Queens Peril Goodreads page

The Queens Peril was published on June 2nd 2020 by Lucasfilm press and is the second book in The Padmé Trilogy after The Queens Shadow, The Queens Peril is followed by The Queens Hope. I happened to stumble across this book on amazon by chance and decided to both buy and read it rather quickly. It's a good book and easily readable. I highly recommend the book for anyone who loves to read not just for Star Wars fans. I give the book a9/10.

E. K. Johnston (full name Emily Kate) is of Canadian decent and had several jobs and one vocation before she became a published writer, however she's been writing since 2002 mainly through fanfiction, she decided to write her own manuscript in 2009 which was published in 2014 as The Story of Owen: Dragon Slayer of Trondheim, in 2015 the book was nominated for the William C. Morris Award and gained a sequel...Prairie Fire.
