Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on the US TV show Chicago PD.

A spin-off of Chicago Fire with their pilot being the backdoor episode of S1 E3, Chicago PD follows/focuses on the fictional patrol officers and the Intelligence unit of the fictional 21^st District, which houses both patrol officers and IU elite, as they deal with the city's perpetrators and their offences. The Patrol officers was eventually dropped in the second half of S4 due to focus shifting to the IU due to officers Kevin Atwater and Kim Burgess (LaRoyce Hawkins and Marina Squerciati respectively) advancing to the IU.

There's currently (as of writing this blog) 10 seasons and 200 episodes of Chicago PD, with the original season released on January 8^th 2014 as a mid-season replacement on NBC. Chicago PD is a police Procedural action drama TV series created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, its the second instalment of Wolf Entertainments Chicago Franchise. The Tenth season premiered on September 21^st 2022.

My Favourite characters are Sargent Hank Voight and Sargent Trudy Platt because I feel both are badass characters in their own ways. My favourite Season is S5 mainly due to how the characters deal with internal team changes and my Favourite episode is S4 E20 “Grasping for Salvation” because Its a great character assessment episode for Sargent Voight. I came across Chicago PD due to watching Chicago Fire and merely wanted to watch more. Chicago PD shows were Chicago Fire does and includes clips on the Chicago YouTube channel linked in the bibliography down below.
