Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Operation Santa Paws.

Originally created in Long Beach, California by Justin Rudd in 2001. Operation Santa Paws was put together as part of the Haute Dogs Organization. The idea was and still is to encourage various people to participate or donate new toys, treats, food or money to help Animal Shelters, especially over Christmas.

Since 2001, Justin and Haute Dogs have spread the campaign far and wide, managing to get stores and individuals around the US to participate on the campaign as a humanitarian effort. There have been some groups and businesses who have held various events and gatherings where people could volunteer time and give donations even host events where people met adoptable pets from shelters or rescue centres.

Whilst Operation Santa Paws is mostly a US thing, I'd be more than happy to do Operation Santa Paws here in the UK, Whilst I don't have the finances I have time I'm more than willing to donate my time at animal shelters. I will be spending some time looking into my local Animal shelters, and highly recommend you guys do too if you love animals.
