Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm The Bandersnatch and I have no idea what I'm doing.
As you should know Tuesdays is book blog day were we talk about one particular book and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on The Witch Who Trades with Death by C. M. Alongi
A Young Witch forced to play concubine for her imperial captor, finally breaks free to find a life of her own, but even those with the power to call Death cannot outrun their past...
All Witches must serve the cruel and immortal Emperor Yamueto. But after four years of terror and abuse. Khana not only kills one of his favourite courtiers with her magic, but also discovers the secret of his power and immortality: he's been making deals with Death, And now, so is she.
Armed with magic she doesn't fully understand, Khana flees the empire and stumbles into a small mountain town filled with fierce warriors that ostracize her for being a witch, despite using her abilities to heal their sick and injured. There, her magic and courage are put to the test as she is forced to stop running and fight back against the emperor that wants her dead.
But every deal she makes with Death takes another piece of her soul, And there's only so much Khana can give before she turns into the very monster she's trying to destroy.
- The Witch Who Trades With Death Goodreads Summery
I bought A Witch who Trades with Death after buying Heart of Iron (I am planning on buying all of C. M. Alongi's works) and I started reading right away. Whilst I like the character of Khana and love the story plot, I have been struggling to connect and read it, as such I'm still not halfway though it. I don't think this is the fault of the author personally I might just not have a good connection to the story. I give the story a 6/10 and do recommend giving it a read for yourselves.

Marie Alongi earned a bachelors in History and Social Justice from
Hamline University in 2017 and after graduating she worked as a

years, including those with autism. This work helped inspire the main
character for her debut sci-fi novel Citadel. In addition to writing
Alongi created the Tiktok series Cafae Latte, the inspiration for the
book Heart of Iron. When shes not writing Alongi is crocheting,
walking long walks and defending the furniture from her fellow
