Hey there
Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend
an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky
and wondrous. I'm Mama Ogre and I have no idea what I'm doing.
Random
blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were
we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's
blog is on Star Wars Knights of the old Republic 2: The Sith Lords.
Following
in its predecessor of being a milti-console RPG game. KoToR2 starts
five years after KoToR 1 and follows the story of your character
known in the game as the Exile, The Exile was once a Jedi knight
exiled from the order for following Revan into battle. The Jedi at
this time have almost been completely wiped out by the Sith. The
exile from waking up in a mining facility must gather other part
members and after meeting a council member from ten years ago must
gather the remaining Jedi together to help defeat the continuing
threat from the Sith.
The game
has new locations such as Nar Shaddaa, Onderon and its moon Duxun,
Malachor V, the Peragus Mining Facility and Telos IV, New ships such
as Sith Cruiser Ravenger, Republic cruiser Harbinger and Goto's yacht
above Nar Shaddaa, two planets return from the original game Korriban
and Dantooine as well as the main ship from KoToR 1 The Ebon Hawk.
The game was published by Lucasfilm but developed by Obsidian
Entertainment, despite this the game uses similar systems and
graphics to KoToR 1 (obviously means of keeping some continuity). The
official release date was December 6th 2004 and was
released on both X-Box and PC with X-Box Version released a little
earlier than the Pc version.
The game
received mixed reviews with some critics saying the graphics were a
little dated and half baked and others praising for the context and
how good a quality the voice acting was. The game received praise for
Kreia with Game Spy calling her the best video game character of
2005. the game was included in 101 video games you must play before
you die in 2010.
I loved
playing and still love playing KoToR 2 much more than KoToR 1. With
the second game you have more freedom to evolve your characters
outside the main storyline as within the storyline. Whilst the game
was easier to play than the first one, some of the gameplay can be
both glitchy and hard to use especially during battles. Several other
players have reported problems with path finding bugs so I completely
understand what they mean.
