Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Adoption.
Adoption is a process whereby a person assumes the parenting of another, usually a child. From that persons biological or legal parent or parents. Legal adoptions permanently transfer all rights and responsibilities, along with filiation, from the biological parent or parents.
Unlike guardianship or other systems designed for the care of the young, adoption is intended to effect a permanent change in status and as such requires societal recognition, either through legal or religious sanction. Historically, some societies have enacted specific laws governing adoption, while others used less formal means (Notably contracts that specified inheritance right and parental responsibilities without an accompanying transfer of filiation). Modern systems of adoption, arising in the 20th century, tend to be governed by comprehensive statutes and regulations.

Whilst the modern form of adoption emerged within recent years especially throughout the US. There have been various forms of the adoption process throughout the years. With early civilisations often funnelling abandoned and orphaned children into the slave trades or to the church as it grew in size and power, children given tot he church were either send out into the community as servants or become monks and nuns in their own right.
If you ever do decide to adopt great for you and on you. However whilst Adoptee parents are very much needed, not everyone is in a good position to adopt either financially, physically or emotionally. If your feeling like you're in a good position to adopt I highly recommend doing your research, There are several different links to different adoption sites and information down in the bibliography below. All adoptive parents in my books are great people and as such are worth 100/10.
