Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm Mama Ogre and I have no idea what I'm doing.

As you should know Tuesdays is book blog day were we talk about one particular book and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on the book The Gangbuster by Ex-Police Detective Peter Bleksley.

Peter Bleksley was the best undercover cop Scotland Yard ever had. In over 10 years operating in covert squads, he cam up against some of the most hardened, lethal and bizarre operators, constantly putting his life on the line so the deadliest villains would end up where they belonged: behind bars. A master of Disguise, he assumed numerous identities In order to get close to his targets- drug dealers, counterfeiters, gangsters and hitman. This is a breathtaking story that will take you inside a world that few have access to. It is the story of a man so dedicated to his job that it became more important even than his own life, a man so professional that his reputation preceded him the world over.

The Gangbuster was first published on May 1st 2001 by John Blake. The copy I have comes from the January 5th 2017 publication again by John Blake

Like many others I came across Peter Bleksley during the TV show HUNTED,

I quite liked this London geezer that I knew nothing about bar the fact he'd been part of Scotland Yard. I learned more later on when I watched the two podcast shows he'd done on Jack Mate's Happy Hour, to which I'd learned more about his work with the police and Scotland yard I also heard about the books he'd written. This prompted me to save a link on amazon so when I was ready Id buy each book and read them. My favourite stories from the book is The Great Provider, Piss Pour and cracking up. I highly recommend the book to everyone and give the book a 9/10.
