Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm The Bandersnatch and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on The Australian Puppet Comedian Randy Feltface.

Randy Feltface, also known as Randy or Randy the Purple Puppet, is an Australian puppet comedian who is a fixture on the international Stand-up circuit and makes regular guest appearances on Australian TV. Randy also performs as one half of the comedy duo “Sammy J and Randy” whose debut happened in 2015 with the TV show Sammy J and Randy in Ricketts Lane on ABC, for which Randy was credited as a Co-Writer and lead Actor. Randy also appeared on the American TV comedy show Bring the Funny in 2019, making it to the second round in the process.

I love watching Randy Feltface. He (and by extension his Operator/Voice Actor Heath McIvor) is a good comedian, I first stumbled across one of his TV appearances with Sammy J on YouTube, and ended up watching through several TV show clips as well as two of his full-length solo shows. Randy Writes a Novel and The Book of Randicus. Since I've come across his content I've also watched Smug Druggles, Purple Privilege and his recent show Feltopia. Randy is currently on tour with his brand new show (as of writing and posting of this blog) First Banana of which there will be a UK leg of the tour and one of his shows will be around the corner from my flat. So I will be going if I can nab some tickets.

Randy Feltface was created by Phillip Miler and Heath McIvor for an insurance company contracted show on workplace bullying, McIvor also operates Randy. McIvor began his career in puppetry in 1993 at 13, when he performed with Melbourne's children's Theatre company Polyglot Theatre. He has also provided puppetry work for The Hobbit, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and Walking With Dinosaurs the Live Experience. McIvor has also worked on TV on Pig's Breakfast, Li'l Horrors and as “Fiend” in Me and My Monsters.
