Golden age of the Dragon: a HoTD fanfiction

As you should know Tuesdays is book blog day were we talk about one particular book and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on the fanfiction story Golden age of the Dragon by Medusawasavictim.

As Visery's health weakens he wants nothing more than unity in his family. Even with his deteriorating health, he proclaims that the two sides of his family must be joined with a marriage. He sees his grandson Jacerys and his daughter Helaena as the best option. His daughter had previously suggested this but Alicent insisted she'd be safer with her brother Aegon however, Aegon proved unworthy.

Or

Alicent and Rhaenyra are forced to reconcile their differences for the sake of their children and avoid civil war. Jace and Helaena are able to save each other from tragedy.

Golden age of the dragon is currently an unfinished fanfiction and was first published on AO3 on the 25^th of May 2024 and updated with its recent chapter on the 8^th of July 2024 (as of the writing of this blog), the story currently has eight chapters and falls under the House of the Dragon fanfiction genre and has an age warning tied to it. I like this story as it provides an alternative timeline to the story of House of the Dragon, is well written and has good flow, As such I give the story an 8/10.

Medusawasavictim only has one fanfiction posted on AO3 and has been on the website since the 4^th of April 2021.
