Random blog day boo yah. As you should know Fridays is random blog day were we talk anything and everything and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Beetlejuice The Musical, The Musical, The Musical.

Based on the 1988 movie of the same name, Beetlejuice The Musical, The Musical, the Musical or simply Beetlejuice follows the story of a deceased couple- the Maitlands who try to haunt the new inhabitants of their former home and call for help from a dubious and devious bio-exorcist ghost named Betelgeuse (named after the star of the same name and is often written and pronounced Beetlejuice) a ghost who can be summoned by saying his name three times. One of the new inhabitants is a teenage girl called Lydia who is dealing with her mothers death and her often neglectful father.

In October 2018, the musical had its try-out at the National theatre in Washington D.C. Prior to its Broadway opening on April 25^th 2019 at the Winter Garden theatre. Warner Bro's theatre Ventures are the producers. The show had an unfortunately short run in 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the show closed it's doors on March 10^th 2020, However It reopened on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre on April 8^th 2022 with another closure on January 8^th 2023. A US National Production began in December of 2022.

There are future productions planned in 2024 in Sweden and the Czech Republic and a Melbourne Australia based production in 2025
