In one universe, Remus Lupin lets guilt and shame keep him from writing to Harry in the summer of '94. In this universe. He writes anyway, and in so doing, changes quite a lot.

Or

Remus concludes that Harry needs a stable and caring adult in his life. He also concludes that he's not up to the job, but there's a surprising shortage of candidates, so he's just going to have to become the person Harry needs.

Fidelius: The Remaking of Remus Lupin is the completed part one of the series Fidelius at nine chapters. It was uploaded in its entirety on the 14^th of February 2024. Like with a lot of Fanfics recently I came across this on a doom scroll, I like this story for it's what if, What if Remus sent letters after Prisoner of azkerban.

Author AuroraNova joined Ao3 on 3^rd October 2015 and currently has 160 stories on her page.
