Hey there Earthlings, Alternatives and Trollers. Put down that mouse and lend an ear. Welcome to The Bandersnatch blog where we talk weird, wacky and wondrous. I'm Mama Ogre and I have no idea what I'm doing.

As you should know Tuesdays is book blog day were we talk about one particular book and pretty much run with it. Today's blog is on Manhunt; Hunting Britain's most wanted murderer by Peter Bleksley.

Armed only with a notepad, pen and mobile phone, author and former Scotland yard detective and undercover cop, Peter Bleksley is on the hunt for Kevin Parle.

For more than fifteen years, the six-foot six-inch broadly built, ginger-haired Parle has been wanted by the police for the two murders. In the early hours of June 19th 2004, 16-year-old Liam Kelly was lured to a location in Liverpool and shot dead. The following year, another Liverpudlian, 22-year-old mother of three, Lucy Hargreaves, was shot dead in her own home. Her partner and their 2-year-old daughter escaped after the house was set alight by leaping from a first-floor bedroom window.

How could Parle have evaded national and international crime investigators for so long? Who is harbouring him? Bleksley is determined to find the answers. Immersing himself in the world of serious and organised crime, he has vowed not to rest until Parle is found.

Manhunt was published on September 3rd 2021 by Ad Lib Publishers

Like many others I came across Peter Bleksley during the TV show HUNTED,

I quite liked this London geezer that I knew nothing about bar the fact he'd been part of Scotland Yard. I learned more later on when I watched the two podcast shows he'd done on Jack Mate's Happy Hour, to which I'd learned more about his work with the police and Scotland yard I also heard about the books he'd written, my partner decided to buy me manhunt on a whim. I've already read and reviewed Gangster by Peter Bleksley and recommend you click the link to said blog in the bibliography down below. Manhunt however is different and as such the subject matter is as far as the publishing of this blog is still on the run. I'm not completely finished with the book being in the last two-three chapters however I appreciate the book for its honesty and showing of the case at hand and I give the book a 7/10.

There is a link to the NCA's (National Crime Agency) website with a number to call IF and only IF you have information much needed on Kevin Parle.
